PEN is a taluka in Raigad district of Maharashtra state. It is centrally located. It is well connected with NH 66 and other state highways. It has major railway station on konkon railway. It has many mountains range, rivers and creek. Dharamtar is major port operation in taluka. It is famous for Ganpati idol. Agriculture, Fishing, many industry, forest products are main source of livelihood.
PEN is largest populated block which requires good health care facilities for people. It has around two lakh population which is catered by Sub District Hospital and four PHCs.
